DANMAGI SERVICE POWERED BY OPTARO

Your questions answered

12 months free. Then US$0.10 per access point per year.

Commercial terms

What is included and who provides the service?

DanMagi offers configuration backup and data hosting, powered by Optaro. We have funded this basic service to help you protect your configuration data and prepare for future changes. A running hosted controller or live network migration is a separate service.

How long is the service free?

Configuration data hosting is free of charge for the next 12 months.

What will hosting cost after the free 12 months?

The price is US$0.10 per access point per year for configuration data hosting, billed once a year after the free period. One annual payment covers one year of hosting. For example, 1,000

access points cost US$100 per year.

Getting started

How do we get started?

Register at cloudwlc.com, create your account and follow the portal instructions to transfer supported configuration data automatically. A registration link will also be added to Danmagi’s website.

What do we need to collect data from Cambium Cloud?

For guided collection, you need access to your current controller and Google Chrome with the portal-guided extension. Keep the browser open and signed in during collection. Have an authorized network administrator complete the steps.

Do we need a server at our premises?

No. DanMagi hosts the configuration backup for you. You do not need to buy or maintain a local server for this basic service.

Backup setup and security

Does backing up our data switch our live network?

No. Configuration collection and storage are separate from changing the controller that manages your access points. A later migration is a separate change that you choose and plan.

How do we use our configuration data?

Continue using your existing cnMaestro setup and login while that service is available. DanMagi stores a backup for export or future migration. The basic backup service does not replace your running controller.

Where is our data hosted?

DanMagi’s configuration backup is hosted separately in a professional data centre in Denmark. The same environment already runs server software for major international five-star hotel brands.

What about SOC 2 and GDPR compliance?

DanMagi already works in line with SOC 2 criteria and GDPR requirements. These practices form part of how we operate our hosting environment.

Do we have to share our Cambium password?

No. For guided collection, sign in directly to Cambium in your own browser. The extension uses that signed-in session; Optaro does not ask for your Cambium password.

How do we check that our backup is complete and current?

Review the collection result, any reported issues and the date of the stored configuration. Resolve missing items before relying on it for recovery. Check the refresh frequency and retention arrangements with Danmagi, especially after changing your live configuration.

What if we have already moved to an on-premises solution?

You can still upload your exported configuration file to Danmagi to keep a backup. Your existing on-premises setup can continue operating. Your Cambium cloud login remains usable for as long as Cambium makes that service available.

Portability and service continuity

Can we download our data or move to another provider?

Yes. You can request a data export at any time, including if you want to move to another provider.

Check that the destination can use the exported format before planning a migration.

Can we keep our existing access points?

Yes. Saving a configuration backup does not require replacing hardware. A later controller

migration must be checked against your access-point models and firmware.

Does the backup preserve every Cambium Cloud feature?

The backup contains supported configuration. Some cloud-only features may not be captured or restored on another controller. Before migrating, check feature coverage, access-point models, firmware and licensing, including any Cambium Cloud Anchor dependency.

What if cnMaestro is discontinued?

DanMagi and Optaro are preparing an alternative with more advanced features, planned for DanMagi customers during October 2026. A saved backup helps prepare for that move; it does not itself operate your network or remove existing vendor dependencies.

What if Cambium and cnMaestro continue operating?

You can keep using those services. Danmagi’s backup gives you an additional safeguard and keeps your options open.

What if we have already moved to an on-premises solution?

You can still upload your exported configuration file to Danmagi to keep a backup. Your existing on-premises setup can continue operating. Your Cambium cloud login remains usable for as long as Cambium makes that service available.

Planned features and integrations

Will the wider system only work with Cambium?

No. Planned multi-brand management will include HPE Aruba, RUCKUS, Ubiquiti (including UniFi) and other major vendors. Broader support is planned during 2026; supported models and firmware will be confirmed as each brand is released.

Will it integrate with other products?

Integration with DanMagi Connect and DanMagi Assure, powered by Optaro, is planned during 2026, together with advanced network management. The included features and terms for these wider services will be confirmed separately from basic data hosting.
